Frequently asked questions
How do I convert my files?
Choose or drop your files, adjust the options if you like, then press “Convert” and download the result.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device — safe for private photos and documents.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Very large files (hundreds of MB) depend on your device's memory and can be slow on phones.
Is it free?
Yes — free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no watermark.
About the formats
JPG
JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Its lossy compression keeps files small, which is ideal for photos, but it has no transparency.
PNG
PNG is a lossless image format that supports transparency. It is best for screenshots, logos and graphics with text; photos saved as PNG are much larger than JPG.
WebP
WebP is Google's modern image format for the web. It is 25–35% smaller than JPG at similar quality and supports transparency, but some older software can't open it.
HEIC
HEIC (HEIF) is the photo format iPhones use by default since iOS 11. It keeps quality at about half the size of JPG, but many Windows PCs, websites and older apps can't open it.
